Becoming a Humanist Celebrant was a decades-long dream come true. What a privilege to be with people at the most precious of life’s milestones; couples coming together to publicly (or secretly!) declare their love for each other, and families saying a good goodbye to someone they have lost.
I am officially registered to conduct legally binding marriages and civil partnerships anywhere in Scotland, each unique to the couple at their heart. From tiny secret elopements to elaborate hearts-and-flowers extravaganzas - whatever you want, goes!
Tie the knot with a handfasting, seal the deal with a drink from the Quaich, or ‘set it in stone’ with an Oathing Stone - it’s your wedding, your way.
A life well-lived should be celebrated too. I work with families to capture the essence of their loved one for a person-centred funeral that celebrates the life they have loved and lost.
Humanism is a positive, non-religious approach to life, based on the values of compassion and reason, inclusivity and respect.
